The Vegan Society

Vegans, like other vegetarians, do not eat the bodies of animals. In addition, vegans do not consume milk, eggs or honey. More broadly, veganism is a way of life which seeks to avoid exploitation of or cruelty to animals for food, clothing or any other purpose. The Vegetarian Society

The Vegetarian Society's food labelling scheme, known as the Seedling Symbol, was established in 1969. Since then it has become the most widely recognised and trusted stamp of vegetarian approval anywhere in the world. Products have to be free of animal flesh, meat or bone stock, animal carcass fats, gelatine, aspic or any other products resulting from slaughter. Products and ingredients should not have been tested on animals. Products must be GMO free.
